Yes, absolutely! Please check out our Get Involved page to find out other ways to get involved.
Where do I find out more information / data about slums?
UNESCO and the World Bank have detailed information about urban slums. If you have trouble finding information, please feel free to email us.
I still don't understand the difference between community, government, and private schools.
Private schools are for the wealthy. Government schools are free, but since governments don't provide services to slums, there are no government schools available in slums. Community schools are schools run by the slum communities. They operate by taking small tuition from students.
Is The Supply Education Group a 501c3?
Yes, The Supply is a fully recognized 501 (c)(3) public charity effective April 22, 2010. All contributions are tax-deductible.
Where are you based?
We are based out of New York City
Is the staff full-time? Do they get paid?
Yes, the staff is full-time, but at this time, they are only receiving a small stipend of $500 a month.
